Friday reflection
Lift as you climb, baby
Last week a client of mine was kind enough to give Mighty Forces a shout-out during a “fireside chat” that her women’s networking group, Chief, was hosting with none other than Michelle Obama. And a friend of mine, whom I met several years ago through a different networking group, was so excited for me, that she emailed me to tell me about it.
As thrilling as it was to think that maybe, just maybe, the name “Mighty Forces” flitted before Michelle Obama’s (gorgeous) eyes, what was even more thrilling was having women in my circle cheering for me and my business. When I thanked my client, whose name is Judy Spitz, she replied, “Lift as you climb, baby!”
During a heavy week, I find it boosting to remember the power I have to help women earlier in their career journeys — and, in particular, the power that my story has to help them climb.
